What is the 20 Questions?

The 20 Questions is one of the most powerful video marketing/messages you can create for your business. It’s simple, fast, versatile and viewers love it.

How it Works

There are 4 parts to this course:

1. The Online Course

In the online course you will learn how to set up and use a smartphone to make professional level video, how to write and shoot a 20 Questions video, and how to upload your collateral and send it so we can edit your video.

2. The Zoom Call

Each week there is a one-hour Zoom call that you can join. We’re here to help you do this right and answer any questions you have about your phone, equipment, shooting or your 20 Questions script.

3. Shoot Your Video

A 20 questions video requires two people – you and the “reader”. In the course you’ll learn how you and the reader can do this together.

4. Editing

In the course you’ll learn how to fill out a storyboard and upload your collateral so you can send it to us for editing. As a part of your tuition, you’ll receive two edits of your video: one in landscape 16 x 9 (YouTube, Facebook) and one in portrait 9 x 16 (Instagram).

Modules

The online course includes 10 modules, 45 lessons and runs 107 minutes total. Topics include:

How to get the best production value from your smartphone.

How to light yourself for video.

Audio basic for video.

Basic shot framing for a 20 Questions video.

Using the reader.

How to write your questions.

Acting 101.

Answering the questions.

How to write and use a storyboard.

How to send us your collateral for editing.

What You Will Need

You must have a smart phone or another video camera to make a 20 Questions video. If you’re using a phone, we also recommend the following accessories to get the best production value from your work:

TRRS microphone

Ball head

Phone clamp

Microphone extension

Reflector/screen

Microphone dead cat (wind screen)

This is all covered in the second lesson of the course. You can pick these things up on your own, or you can get them as a complete set in “The Kit” available at my20questions.com/kit.

You should also have a tripod which is not included in The Kit and you will need the “dongle” extension that came with your phone. Again this is all covered, with links, at the beginning of your course.
